Things to consider when buying a New Construction Home

As the Austin-area continues to grow, we see more and more new neighborhoods and new construction homes every day!

When buying a brand new house, there are important things to think about.  When you work with us, we make sure to address these items so you can make the right decisions about your purchase.

1. **Budget:** First, figure out how much you can afford to spend. Don't forget to include extra costs like taxes, HOA fees, home insurance, MUD/PID/PUD fees.

2. **Location:** Think about where you want to live. Is it close to work, schools, and stores? Is the neighborhood safe?

3. **Builder Reputation:** Check if the builder has a good track record. Are their homes well-made and do they keep promises?

4. **Quality:** Inspect the construction quality. Are the materials good? Does everything work properly?

5. **Warranty:** Ask about warranties. Will the builder fix things if they go wrong after you move in?

6. **Future Plans:** Find out if there are plans for more construction nearby. This could affect your home's value and peace.

7. **Resale Value:** Think about the house's potential resale value. Will it be easy to sell if you decide to move later?

Remember, take your time, do your research, and don't rush into buying a new construction home. It's a big investment, so make sure it's the right fit for you and your family.
